George has performed roles in many well known and beloved musical theatre classics, including Beauty And The Beast, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and also Jesus Christ Superstar, where he understudied the role of “Jesus”. He played the “Scarecrow” in Wizard of Oz, and “Roger” in Rent. In addition to musical theatre, George also works in film and television, and has been featured in roles on Close Encounters and Forbidden for The Discovery Channel. He plays “Fred” in the film Bed Of The Dead (Black Fawn Films), which is scheduled for release in 2016, and will be featured in an upcoming series called Civil War Chronicles, also scheduled for 2016.
His career has taken him to many different theatres all around the country, including Victoria Playhouse Petrolia and Stage West Calgary. George has a voice that is well suited to standards, and has twice performed in The Songs Of Sinatra as a featured lead. He also played “Phil Davis” in White Christmas, and will play the lead role of “Tony” in West Side Story at the Citadel Theatre in Banff as part of their 2016 Season.
With his bright smile and upbeat personality, George is a favourite with students. He is cheerful and friendly, with a positive attitude that’s contagious! George continues to train professionally, and inspires his students to continue to work to improve their skills as well. He is warm and encouraging, and always works to bring out the very best in his students. We are thrilled to have him as part of our staff at The S.P.A.C.E.
