ette encourages her students to develop strong technique and performance skills along with a genuine love for dance and the arts, and opened The S.P.A.C.E. in 2004 for students to learn from industry professionals in a warm and supportive atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Linette played the lead in the film One Heart Broken Into Song<\/a><\/strong>, and had the opportunity to work with tap legends such as Savion Glover and the late Gregory Hines, playing \u201cElaine\u201d opposite Gregory Hines in Bojangles<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong> She worked with Aaron Sorkin on Molly’s Game<\/strong><\/a>, and was featured in Doc<\/strong>, Soul Food<\/strong> (for Showtime), and the film Blue Hill Ave<\/strong>, which won audience favourite at the Acapulco Black Film Festival. She is a talented and versatile performer who has performed on film and television; on stage; on the radio \u2013 notably as the lead in the CBC Radio production of Rush Home Road<\/strong>; and on the Original Cast Recording of We Will Not Forget<\/strong>. It is this experience that she offers to families in East York \u2013 the chance to learn about the world of performing from actual working performers.<\/p>\n

  <\/em>  <\/em>As a professional actor, dancer, and singer, Linette has toured across Ontario with Ballet Creole<\/strong><\/a> and Kalimba Kalimba<\/strong><\/a>, and as the dance captain on Menopause The Musical 2<\/a>. She was the choreographer for After Hours<\/strong> on CTV, created the dance show METRO<\/strong><\/a>, and performed at the prestigious Charlottetown Festival. Students may recognize Linette as \u201cDana\u201d the dance teacher and choreographer in Disney\u2019s popular Cheetah Girls<\/strong><\/a> movie.<\/p>\n

An energetic and enthusiastic teacher experienced with both children and adults, Linette has taught at numerous dance studios and schools, and continues to be in demand as a guest teacher. She also continues to perform professionally, choreographing and dancing in the short film Long Road To Freedom<\/strong><\/a>, and appearing in 13 The Musical<\/strong><\/a> on Netflix, as well as episodes of Kim’s Convenience<\/a><\/strong>, The Handmaid’s Tale<\/a><\/strong>, and Murdoch Mysteries<\/a><\/strong>. After a busy spring performing in The New Canadian Curling Club<\/strong><\/a> with Neptune Theatre in Halifax and in Footloose in Calgary with Stage West Theatre<\/a><\/strong>, Linette is excited to be back in the studio!<\/p>\n
